DIY Chalkboard Labels

This one is super easy and gives your labels a fun and unique look.

I used a large 12 letter stamp roller for the longer words and a simple alphabet stamp set for the shorter words. I used  pre-cut pieces of black paper stock for my tags and white chalkboard ink.

Homemade Lemon Sugar Scrub Cubes

This was a tough one, I had to modify the recipes I found online a bit in order to make the consistency work. In the end I am happy with how these turned out!

I made enough to fill around 7 medium sized jars

What you will need:
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Coconut Oil
  • Soap Base (I used shea butter soap)
  • Lemon Essential Oil
  • Yellow Food Coloring
I used equal parts sugar, coconut oil and soap base to reach the texture I wanted, if you have any issues with the consistency, you can tweak the measure of the ingredients to your liking.

Melt all ingredients together in a double boiler (can used microwave as well), add coloring and essential oils. I poured the whole mix into a deep dish pan and let it harden for a little over an hour. After the mixture hardened, I placed the block onto sugar covered plastic wrap, then cut into strips, then into cubes.

I tossed the cubes in more sugar to coat.

Then placed in fun medium sized jars! Leave the jars open overnight to allow cubes to harden.

Homemade Rose Bath Salts

Amazingly fragrant & easy bath salts!

I bought a bag of multi-purpose Epsom salt from the grocery store and added in essential rose oil and a touch of gel food coloring and mixed it all together! (I made enough for 5 medium sized jars, I didn't measure out the Epsom salt, it was more then half the eight pound bag.)

I found these cute little containers from the craft store and alternated colors/fragrances.

Simple DIY Paper Tree Pictorial

These little cuties have been popping up all over the place. However, I have yet to find an easy to follow tutorial. So I decided to just give it a try on my own and here is what I came up with!

I used some old scrap-booking paper to make the cone and cut the bottom so it sat flat on the table. I already had a strip sized scrap-booking paper packet, which came in very handy because I didn't have to do any extra cutting. I cut fringe of all sizes into these strips, used a pen to roll the paper (to give it the curl on the ends) and hot glued the rest of the way!

Aeropathy Jar Set

I found these little beauties at my local home goods store and painted the inside of the lid and the bottom of the base black to match my bathroom decor. I used a basic black acrylic paint.

Add Q-tips, Bath Salts and Bath bombs, along with floating shelves and some other fun knick-knacks. Bathroom organized!

Fall Fun!

A quick and fun little project that is cleaner the carving real pumpkins!

I bought a fake white pumpkin and some puffy paint and went to town!
